The Sporting Director of Alianza Lima, José Bellina, talks about the possibility of the Peruvian national team player, Christian Cueva, returning to wear the blanquiazul jersey next season, at least for the first 6 months.
In an interview with Ovation, the sporting director confirmed that negotiations with the popular "Aladino" are very advanced, and they have already discussed contractual matters with the player.
"We are well advanced, finally, what we always think here is that if we have the predisposition and the player also does, we eventually settle relatively quickly. We have already talked to him (Cueva) about contractual aspects," he said.
The Club's Position
However, Bellina detailed that the main thing to concretize Cueva's return to Matute is the position of his team, Al-Fateh of Saudi Arabia, the club with which he has a current contract and who will have the final say.
"He has a contract with his club there, so we are looking at the possibility of whether the club finally agrees to let Christian (Cueva) come, that's the only way. We are working on it, we'll see if it's possible, they have the final say," he said.
