Through its social networks, Universitario de Deportes announced that forward Tiago Cantoro, son of former merengue striker Mauro Cantoro, will not continue in the club's ranks; furthermore, it was revealed that the striker will continue his sports career at Cusco FC.

"All the best, Tiago. Our forward will go on loan to Cusco FC for the next season," posted the 'U', making it clear that the player will be loaned to the Cusco team.
Tiago Cantoro, 21 years old, returned to Universitario in the 2021 season, after his stint at Atlético Grau. Since his return to Ate, the young forward has played eight matches and has only scored two goals.
