The new model established by the Peruvian Football Federation for the development of Liga 1 2023 alerted Alianza Lima regarding the broadcasting rights of their matches for the next season. This comes after signing a 12-year contract with GolPeru.
The spokesperson for the PFF, Carlos Caro, once again stated that the entity is in charge of the ownership of the rights. Furthermore, he ensured that any club that fails to comply may be relegated, as stated in the regulations.

Why would Alianza Lima's stay in Liga 1 be at risk?
It turns out that Alianza Lima signed a contract with GolPeru for the coverage of their matches for 12 years in exchange for 99 million dollars. This goes against what is established in the 2023 regulations because, from their position, the PFF has another provider for this service that would take care of the rights of all participating teams.
What Alianza Lima has done was not taken well by the federation and, through its spokesperson, said the following:
"Throughout this process, the clubs have been kept informed because they are partners in the project; however, the situation is clear, if they do not respect the statutes and do not sign the statements, they will not be able to participate in the next season of Liga 1 and this could lead to relegation, as stipulated by the new regulations," he mentioned.
