Cusco FC is one of the first teams to start pre-season for the 2023 Descentralizado and one of their key players is midfielder Alfredo 'Chapu' Ramúa, who will play his tenth season with the Residencial Huancaro club.
He set foot in Cusco and was welcomed by some representatives of the team, who presented him with a picture with the shirt commemorating the Argentine midfielder's decade with Cusco FC. He first arrived in the Imperial City in January 2013 to play the Copa Libertadores with the then Real Garcilaso.
"How can I forget my first goal, it was against Cerro Porteño in Paraguay, we had great times with the club, we hope to return to an international tournament," said the footballer.

Ten years later, now with a Peruvian passport, Alfredo feels like a Cusqueño and hopes that Deportivo Garcilaso will be promoted to have three imperial teams in the Liga 1.
"It would be nice to have more teams, football is a celebration, I already want to play a match with them (Garcilaso) and Cienciano," he said.
Argentine by birth and Peruvian at heart, he did not hesitate to comment on the World Cup, prior to the match between the Argentine national team and Australia.
"It's a shame that Peru couldn't qualify, we would have seen each other today, but that's how things are," he said.
At 36 years old, Ramúa has played for teams in Venezuela, Peru, showcased his talent at CNI in Iquitos, and had a brief stint at Sporting Cristal, last year he achieved promotion to the First Division as one of the best players for Cusco FC.
