Through Instagram, the Panamanian bid farewell to the club merengue.
Alberto 'Chiquitín' Quintero confirmed that he will not continue at Universitario de Deportes. The Panamanian footballer bid farewell to the merengue institution and its fans through a publication on Instagram.
"After 6 years at Universitario de Deportes, it's time to embark on a new destination. A significant chapter in my life has ended and I am starting to write a new one. Throughout this time, I have felt at home, a cream player, always sharing dreams, illusions, victories, dealing with defeats, and difficult moments that have been experienced at the club," the Central American started saying.
"I always put my effort and dedication for the club above all else, leaving incredible memories at the Monumental stadium and, above all, friends, whom I hope to continue knowing and to whom I am very grateful. Thank you very much to the entire coaching staff, teammates, executives, coaches, and of course to you, the cream fans who have always supported me and accompanied me in good times and bad times," 'Chiquitín' continued.
Alberto Quintero adds that "although farewells are never easy, there are moments when saying goodbye is the only way to start a new stage. It is a challenge that I face with enthusiasm and all the desire in the world, where I hope my new stage brings me as much joy as I desire."
The Panamanian thanks Universitario de Deportes and concludes his message with a "And give 'U' for life."
