Paolo Guerrero: Avaí was relegated to the Second Division in Brazil.

Bad news for Paolo Guerrero. Avaí, the club that signed him in July of this season, was relegated this Saturday to the Second Division in Brazil after drawing (1-1) against Santos in a match in which the Peruvian striker was not present.

The 'Depredador's' team had to win to keep alive the hope of saving the category, however, they drew. In this way, they remained in the penultimate position with 29 points with two rounds remaining in the end of the Serie A.

It is worth remembering that the national striker played his last match on October 1 against Atlético Goianiense for the Brasileirao. After that match, the blanquiazul team announced that the player suffered a knee injury and since then he has not played again.

Since arriving at the Brazilian club, Paolo Guerrero has played 10 matches and has not been able to score goals. His contract ends in December of this year and the future of the player is uncertain.

It is important to mention that earlier this year, Alianza Lima showed interest in having the 'Depredador', however, the striker decided to continue his career abroad and rejected the offers from the 'Blanquiazules'.
