Sport Boys closed a difficult season in which they showed good things on the field, but a series of managerial shortcomings led them to lose points. This led them to flirt with relegation. Everything seemed to have ended in the best way, however, a new resolution from the FPF Licenses Commission has caused controversy.

Said commission has just sanctioned Sport Boys for not having complied with the requirements of the Special Regime they are currently under. It is worth remembering that the port side team was included in this concept (which is why the deduction of 8 points was not made) and they were given 10 days to submit a report on the management in the 2022 season.
Therefore, Sport Boys had to appoint a finance specialist and appointed Ricardo Amanez Alarcón, although the FPF stated that he did not meet the requirements regarding the necessary experience. This was considered by the Licensing Commission as a violation of the Special Regime.
But what was the sanction? The Licenses Commission decided that Sport Boys had to pay a fine of 10 UIT and gave them a 5-day extension to comply with the last two conditions they need.
Could they lose more points? The commission reported that, if they do not meet the requirements, Sport Boys could leave the Special Regime, which would make the club susceptible to losing more points on the table, which would endanger their position in the final standings of the Liga 1 2022.
