The Clausura Tournament ended and the teams that will represent us in the international tournaments are already known. One of these competitions is the 2022 Libertadores Cup, which will feature Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, FBC Melgar, and Sport Huancayo in its next edition.
The blanquiazules are the only ones who have secured their place in the group stage (by playing the Liga 1 final) and the 'Rojo Matador' will play in the preliminary phase as they finished fourth in the overall standings, so we still need to know which other club will accompany the íntimos in the final stage. Will it be Melgar or Sporting Cristal?
Despite this uncertain situation in the Peruvian tournament, as well as in the other South American leagues, Conmebol has announced the date on which the 2023 Libertadores Cup will start, from the preliminary phase to the group stage.

When does the preliminary phase of the Libertadores Cup start?
In the pre-Libertadores, Sport Huancayo and the loser of the semifinal between Sporting Cristal and Melgar will participate. This phase will start on February 8, 2023, and will end on March 15, 2023.
Alianza Lima: When does the group stage start?
On the other hand, Alianza Lima and the other finalist of the Liga 1 will go directly to the group stage, which will begin on April 5 and will be played until the week of June 28.
