Television host Paco Bazán attended as a guest on the digital program "Depagol" that is broadcast on YouTube, and during his stay, he commented on the current situation of some clubs like Universitario. However, he surprised the hosts and the audience with some revelations he made about his sports career and his connection with Leao Butrón.
For some time, the former goalkeepers showed signs of their enmity through social media, and on this occasion, the former Universitario goalkeeper confessed how this tense relationship originated. Likewise, he indicated that he would be willing to meet with the former captain of Alianza Lima and about the opportunity he had at some point in his career to wear that shirt.

What did Paco Bazán say about Leao Butrón?
As followers of both former footballers know, from time to time they show the bad relationship they have, either through social media or in an interview they can give. However, Bazán confessed that they used to be friends and that he hopes they can meet again at some point.
"Leao has been my friend, we have been teammates in a national team, he loves my late father who rest in peace, my father helped him a lot when he was a leader. I am very good friends with Omar, his younger brother, and Jahir, his older brother. We are friends, friendships that break because of things that happen on screen, but that can be embraced," he said.
"I ask his trolls not to generate division. I would love for Leao to come to my show, sit at my table to remember the things we have said to each other, and sit with him to have a coffee, eat a ceviche," he added, also an actor.

How did the rivalry between Paco Bazán and Leao Butrón start?
The footballers who coincided in the youth national teams now work as football commentators. Bazán does so on open television screens through ATV, while Butrón does it on the program "A presión" that is broadcast on YouTube, where he has referred to his colleague on more than one occasion. In response, popular Paco recounted the origin of this enmity.
"With Leao, this rivalry of saying things to each other started when he was still playing and I had already retired, he belittled me, said 'a little goalkeeper who now tries to be a journalist.' I felt that it was disrespectful considering the 10 years I have worked hard to have a prominent space, where I have amazing numbers, competing with Aldo Miyashiro and having 3 top ratings," he narrated.

The host of "El deportivo en otra cancha" explained how the statements made him feel, by someone who was his friend, and took the opportunity to send him a message with revengeful undertones.
"I felt mistreated, it's one thing for him to consider that I was a bad goalkeeper and I'm not at his level, I can accept that, but in what I do today I am successful. I won't allow anyone who is trying to break into the market, like him, who is looking for work, to belittle me," he added.
Paco Bazán could have signed for Alianza Lima
Finally, the television presenter stated that he could have been part of the select group of footballers who have defended the shirts of Alianza Lima and Universitario, but a bad negotiation prevented his signing.
"In 2008, I returned from Cyprus and during the Apertura I was without a team and I received an offer from Aurora de Cochabamba in Bolivia, I let it go and a very good offer from Alianza came, Elio Casaretto brought it to me, I still have the contract in my email. At that time, there was another representative named William Pickling who got involved in the negotiations. Elio Casaretto found out and ruined the contract," he affirmed.
