After the serious accusation made by the dancer Angye Zapata against Sporting Cristal midfielder Martín Távara, Sporting Cristal issued a statement to the public, with the actions it will take in this case of violence against women.

The brewery team stated that it demands from all its members an 'exemplary behavior that goes according to the values of the Celeste institution, one of the biggest in Peruvian football'.
"Having learned about what has been reported and, in accordance with our internal policy, the corresponding procedure has been initiated, contacting the footballer (Martín Távara) and his legal defense, with the aim of clarifying the facts," the statement from Sporting Cristal says.
Martín Távara, 23 years old, is a central midfielder forged in the ranks of Sporting Cristal and who has even had participation in the Peruvian national team. Meanwhile, Angye Zapata is a well-known dancer and was also accused of having a romance with salsa singer Josimar.
