Since Guillermo Salas took over Alianza Lima after Carlos Bustos' departure, one player has gained a lot of relevance in the team and has become a regular in the starting eleven: Arley Rodríguez. The Colombian once again demonstrated his worth against Deportivo Binacional by opening the scoring and today he analyzed the upcoming matches in the Clausura Tournament.
Although they depend on themselves, the Colombian striker remains cautious and takes this good moment of the La Victoria team calmly. "We are very happy with the victory, we celebrated, but today we had to train. We haven't won anything yet, we have a difficult game against Ayacucho FC," Arley commented to 'Radio Ovación'.
On the other hand, the former Carlos A. Mannucci player values the confidence that 'Chicho' Salas has given him in these recent matches, as he used to be just a substitute player in the squad. With effort and goals, he continues to justify his position as a starter match after match.
"Personally, I have always prepared myself in the best way. I used to have few minutes, but now with coach 'Chicho' I have more continuity. Despite that, I have a lot to improve but that happens day by day and hopefully I can continue like this until the end," he added.
Regarding Salas' work, Arley highlighted that in a short time, he has instilled his playing style in the team and that wherever they have to play, they intend to secure victory from the first minute. And he is right, as that is what was seen against Binacional, where he himself scored the 1-0 in the sixth minute.
"Every coach has their way of approaching matches. With 'Chicho,' it is a different approach. Wherever we go, we seek to dominate from the first minute. The fatigue from Cusco was felt a bit, but in the first few minutes you could see an Alianza that wanted to dominate. When we can score in the first few minutes, the game goes in our favor. In Cusco, it was a more intelligent, more organized effort and when we have to defend, we do it with all our strength," he pointed out.
Finally, regarding the match next Tuesday against Ayacucho FC, he mentioned that they are already focused on what they are going to do. "We have two finals left, but we are clear that the most important one is the next one, against Ayacucho FC, and then we will think about what comes next," the Colombian concluded.
