César Cueto, one of the best players in the history of Peruvian football, is hospitalized at Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo Hospital in Chiclayo since Monday, October 17, due to a urinary infection.
EsSalud informed through a statement about the health condition of the former footballer who played for Alianza Lima, José Gálvez, Municipal, Atlético Nacional de Medellín, América de Cali, Deportivo Pereira, Cúcuta Deportivo, and also represented the Peruvian national team.
"The patient was admitted on Monday, October 17th, to the Emergency Department of Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo National Hospital, where he was immediately and timely attended by the staff on duty," begins the public institution of social security in health.
"Necessary tests were performed and he is being monitored by the healthcare professionals of the hospital," adds EsSalud, detailing that César Cueto's condition is stable and with favorable progress.
"The healthcare staff will continue to make every effort to achieve the prompt recovery of the patient," they conclude.
The Peruvian national team sent strength to the former footballer through social media: "We join the wishes for the swift recovery of our Peruvian football legend and ambassador of @tufpfoficial, César Cueto."
