Gold for Peru: Volleyball team crowned champion in South American Games.

The Peruvian women's volleyball team was crowned champion of the South American Games Asuncion 2022. The national team, with Karla Ortiz as one of the most experienced players, defeated Argentina in the grand final, in a thrilling match that lasted five sets.

In the end, the Peruvian team emerged victorious, thanks to a score of 3-2, in a thrilling match that took place on one of the courts of the Paraguayan Volleyball Federation. The sets were 22-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-19, and 15-11.

Peru secured the deciding point with a lot of effort and after several seconds. Argentina's attempted set didn't go well, and it was exploited by our volleyball players, who anticipated at the net and surprised their opponents. Point 15 and time to celebrate.

"Everyone wanted to win, the entire coaching staff, everyone celebrated. This is for all of Peru. It was a tough match, we knew Argentina was coming to win and we wanted the same.
