Members of the delegation of Club Nueva Esperanza from Chiclayo, popularly known as Los Tucos, suffered a car accident on the night of October 11 while heading to the town of Sechura (Piura), where they will visit Defensor La Bocana for the fifth round of the national stage of the Copa Peru.
According to the images shared on social media, the car carrying the football players had a broken windshield and a flattened roof. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Footballers Kike Rodríguez and Deyair Reyes, as well as the team manager Saulo Cubas and another member of the administrative staff, spoke about what happened in a video posted on Los Tucos' official Facebook account. Although they contradicted each other about whether or not players were in the crashed vehicle, they made it clear that the entire team is in good health.
The video was made to reassure the families of the football players and the fans, who found out about the incident through social media before today's match.
