The match corresponding to matchday 15 of the Clausura Tournament between Universitario and Sporting Cristal continues to generate repercussions. On this occasion, Gonzalo Núñez and former striker Piero Alva were protagonists of a dialogue that at times became heated due to the different points of view they defended.

The conversation between both individuals took place during the edition of the radio program "Exitosa deportes", in which the sports communicator consistently confronted the former player regarding the performance shown by the team led by Carlos Compagnucci. In one of the most heated moments of the conversation, Núñez pointed out that the match "was bad because there were no goals", which made the former forward uncomfortable.

"For me, the match was intense. To you (the intensity) means nothing because you haven't played soccer. How can you tell me that a dynamic match, a back and forth match with few goal opportunities, is bad?" Alva responded.

The former host of "Fútbol en América" was not satisfied with the response and sought to get his interviewee to answer if the match was good or bad during the 90 minutes, and hinted that the former footballer may not give an objective response because he works for the merengue club.

"If you want to know if it was good or bad, for me it was good. Because of the dynamics and intensity that there was. Surely those matches we played at one per hour and that the referees stop all the plays and end 3-2, you love those. You criticize and sell what produces the best benefit for you," Alva replied.

With tempers calmer between both individuals and with the participation of the panelists of the aforementioned space, the national former forward affirmed that although Universitario has not been showing its best level, it has become a team that generates respect in any opponent it faces.

"Universitario is still building a solid team that lays the foundations for what is to come. We could have finished the plays better... The players are working to be competitive, the team has become a tough team to face," he asserted.

Butrón ‘shoots’ against Gareca for leaving him out of the World Cup: "The other two goalkeepers were not better than me"

Despite stating that he bears no grudge against 'Tigre,' Butrón made a controversial statement by indicating that he was better than the two substitute goalkeepers in the 'Blanquirroja': José Carvallo and Carlos Cáceda:

"Without any kind of complaint and with a lot of humility and respect, I believe that except for Gallese, the other goalkeepers were not better than me, but I understand that Gareca supported his group and that is also important," he said.
