Where can I exchange or redeem my torn bills?
If you have a torn bill, it can be exchanged at any office of the financial system, as long as it meets the following requirements:
- Having more than half, containing
- The watermark.
- The color-changing ink.
- The security thread.
- Having at least one of its complete series and numerations (horizontal or vertical).
- Having the front and back.
Where can I exchange my entire damaged bills?
According to the BCR, genuine whole bills that have been damaged can be exchanged at any office of any bank as long as they meet the following conditions:
- The watermark.
- The color-changing ink.
- The security thread.
Also, bills that are taped, scratched, or stamped can also be exchanged at financial centers.
