In addition to having stores, entertainment centers, and restaurants, Larcomar is now known for being pet-friendly, meaning that customers have the possibility of taking their pets shopping with them.
Nevertheless, despite the rejection in previous years, nowadays Larcomar has become an emblematic area of the country and the district where it is located.
Mall Owners
On July 6, 2010, the Chilean real estate company Parque Arauco acquired Larcomar. Currently, they also own MegaPlaza Independencia, MegaPlaza Express Villa El Salvador, Parque Lambramani (Arequipa), El Quinde (Cajamarca), VIAMIX Chorrillos, OULETARAUCO Lurín, among others.
It should be noted that Larcomar was inaugurated on November 27, 1998, by architect Eduardo Figari Gold, as part of a Peruvian work preselected for the first edition of the Latin American Architecture Award "Rogelio Salmona: open spaces/collective spaces".
