Alianza Lima qualified for the final of the 2022 Women's League Football. The blanquiazul team defeated Sporting Cristal on penalties this Saturday and sparked the jubilation of the fans at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium.

The squad led by Samyr Mendoza took to the field with Sánchez, García, Miranda, Romero, Chuquival, Romero, Quesada, Arévalo, Tacilla, Otiniano, and Lúcar. With the support of their fans, the players put pressure on the rival from the first minute.

However, the blanquiazul athletes were imprecise in front of the goal and missed several scoring opportunities. On the other hand, the celeste team also had chances to score, but the defense of the íntimo team looked very solid.

In this way, the match ended in a goalless draw and the winner was determined on penalties. During the penalty shootout, Adriana Lúcar, Sofía García, Sandra Arévalo, and Neidy Romero scored their shots, but Yoselin Miranda missed hers, equalizing the score since Maca López had also missed at the beginning.

It was Alondra Vílchez's turn, but goalkeeper Maryory Sánchez deflected the ball. The Matute stadium became a party, as Alianza Lima qualified for the final and will seek the bicampeonato.

Now, the blanquiazul team awaits Universitario de Deportes or Carlos Mannucci. The match between the crema club and the trujillana squad will be played this Sunday at the Mansiche Stadium.
