As soon as this information became official, Jean Ferrari, the club's administrator, criticized the decision through his social media. "This is a disgrace, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) is setting a bad precedent in our country (Peru) @CONMEBOL @FIFA," stated the executive manager on Twitter.

It is worth remembering that the former footballer demanded drastic sanctions after the Universitario winger Rodrigo Vilca and the fitness coach Guido Thompson were assaulted after the match.

What sanction did Alianza Lima receive?
The Disciplinary Commission of the Peruvian Federation punished the blanquiazul team by forcing them to play their next two home matches without an audience in the East stand. They were also fined 5 tax units (UIT), equivalent to 23,000 soles. Thus, following the recent ruling, only the payment of the fine will remain in effect.
