The departure of Carlos Bustos from Alianza Lima continues to raise many questions. Maybe the biggest one is whether José Bellina - together with the board of the blanquiazul institution - made the decision after the recent loss to Universitario in the Peruvian football classic. Well, the sports manager himself took care of answering that question.

"More than the classic, the decision to part ways with Carlos Bustos was due to getting only one point out of six at home, it was a very tough blow. The team is affected, any decision of this magnitude generates reactions, it's normal. Carlos Bustos was with us for the last year and a half," said the blanquiazul executive.

The sports manager of Alianza Lima is aware that the national title objective has become more complicated after the recent results, but that does not mean that the team is going to give up and stop fighting for the chance to win the Clausura Tournament.

"As long as the possibilities exist, we will continue to fight for the title, we have the team to do it. The decision to part ways with Carlos Bustos was very difficult to make. Even so, the club knows that the objective is still there, these moments make us stronger," said José Bellina.

On the other hand, he also revealed that there is already a list of options being considered in Alianza Lima to fill the position left by coach Carlos Bustos, where there are names that have already had experience in the Peruvian championship.

"Guillermo Salas will coach the next two matches. From there, we will decide. We are very convinced of the alternatives for the new head coach. There are six options, of which 2 have coached in the local tournament," concluded the executive, in an interview with GOLPERU.
