Juan Reynoso announced the list of 27 players called up by the Peruvian national team for the friendly matches against Mexico and El Salvador for the September FIFA date, and one of the absences that caught the attention of the press was Paolo Guerrero. The 'Bicolor' coach explained why he didn't call 'Depredador'.
“Paolo (Guerrero) doesn't have to prove anything. We want him to accumulate minutes. When we see him at 100%, he will definitely be called up. Right now, we don't want to take him out of his habitat with a long trip,” said 'Cabezón' in a press conference from La Videna.
Paolo Guerrero has been playing regularly for Avaí FC in Brazil, but he still hasn't managed to complete 90 minutes or score.
It should be noted that 'PG9' has not played for the Peruvian national team since last year. The last time he did it was in the match against Chile in October.
WHEN DOES PERU PLAY IN THE FIFA DATE?
First, they will face Mexico on September 24th, and on the same month 27th, they will do the same against El Salvador. Both matches will be played in the United States.
