The Municipal Elections 2022 are getting closer. On Sunday, October 2, the elections will be held, where Peruvians will choose their regional and municipal authorities at the ballot box. Regarding the mayoralty of Lima, there are familiar faces running for mayor and others seeking to gain prominence and present their proposals.
The appropriate showcase to gain votes, or on the contrary, to regress or stagnate in their campaign, will be the municipal debate organized by the National Elections Jury (JNE). When will the debate for the candidates for mayor of Lima be?
This event does not yet have a definite date, but it is estimated to take place on Sunday, September 25, as announced by a representative of the National Elections Jury (JNE) in a conversation with Gestión.
This tentative date must be validated by the participating political parties.

Elections 2022: format
This municipal debate will have a block of proposals where the candidates will present their work plans, another block of questions from the moderators, and there will also be a segment where some questions from the voters will be addressed.
Where will the Elections 2022 debate be held?
According to Mónica Mauricio, representative of the National Elections Jury, there is still no established location for the debate of the 2022 municipal elections for the mayor of Lima.
There are more than two names on the table as possible venues, including the University of Lima, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, and the Lima Convention Center.
