Peruvian athletes need our support once again. Karateka Naoto Yoshida from Trujillo is one of the 40 athletes who have been called up by the national team of the JKA (Japanese Karate Association) to participate in the Panamerican Championship in Santiago, Chile from November 10th to 13th. Therefore, he is requesting support to cover his expenses during the tournament.

His trip is scheduled for November 9th. Although the JKA has covered his tickets so he can compete in the southern country, he needs money for his accommodation and food expenses during the competition.

“Despite having the support of my association for competitions within Peru, now that I have been selected for an international competition, the expenses are higher, so I request support to cover my lodging, meals, travel expenses, among others,” said the young karateka to URPI from La República.

Yoshida began his training in this discipline at the age of 3. As he grew up, he intensified his training and competed in different tournaments. In 2018, with the guidance of sensei Enrique Linares and representing the Bushido Karate Club, he won the gold medal at the Panamerican Championship held in Lima. This earned him the award for the best karateka of 2018 and he was recognized with the bronze ANDPDEP.

After the pandemic, his training did not stop, as he did it virtually. Only this year, 2022, he has been able to do face-to-face training: in June of this year, the national team, under the technical direction of Carlos Sánchez, did practical work at the Gran Chimú Coliseum, and on September 25th, he will have a competition prior to the trip in the city of Chimbote.

If you want to support, you can contact Naoto Yoshida at the phone number 953885029 or through social media Naoto.Yoshida.Anderson.
