About Diego Guastavino
A few days ago, midfielder Diego Guastavino from Universitario de Deportes spoke with Deporte Total. He explained that it was a mistake to let go of Rainer Torres, John Galliquio, and Antonio Gonzales.
Reaction from Universitario de Deportes
It seems that these statements shook Universitario de Deportes. Germán Leguía, the team manager, considered Guastavino's comment to be inappropriate.
"Diego must understand that Universitario de Deportes is a club, not a group of friends. They already had their chance," said Leguía to América Televisión.
Focus on the Present
In addition, Germán Leguía pointed out that Diego Guastavino should focus on the present and leave the past behind.
"Before saying anything, he should think about the young players around him. What will Giordano Mendoza, Siucho, or the young players think when he says that?" Leguía assured.
Diego Guastavino's Arrival
Diego Guastavino arrived at Universitario de Deportes this season from the University of Concepción in Chile. Currently, the Uruguayan player has scored 4 goals in the Apertura Tournament.
