The Ministry of Education (Minedu) and the Unified Union of Education Workers in Peru (Sutep) reported that through a new agreement, the exceptional bonus of S/ 950 will be granted to teachers in Peru.

When will the exceptional bonus of S/ 950 be delivered?
The S/ 950 bonus for teachers will be delivered starting from January 1, 2023, said Ronald García Salcedo, national secretary of Defense of Sutep.
"In the negotiation, it was stated that they will invest a budget of S/ 351,000,000 granted by the Ministry of Economy for the collective negotiation between Sutep and Minedu. This money will cover the unique bonus of 950 soles," detailed.
Who will receive the exceptional bonus from Minedu?
More than 400,000 named and contracted teachers and assistants will be able to receive the exceptional bonus of S/ 950 that the Peruvian Government will deliver through the Ministry of Education.
"We are interested in the common good, and the common good is the benefit of all named and contracted teachers and assistants," said Arturo Ferro, head of the Dialogue Office of Minedu and technical secretary of the collective negotiation process.
