The Prime Minister of the Republic, Aníbal Torres, spoke at a press conference today, Wednesday, August 10, and announced his willingness to a new law project on the deportation of immigrants, due to the increase in citizen insecurity at a national level.
The bill presented by the premier refers to the expulsion of foreigners who are found in possession of firearms illegally; this would change the figure of imprisonment to deportation for a group of people who commit such crimes.
These decisions would have been made in the last session of the Council of Ministers, as expressed by the Prime Minister Pedro Castillo.
Likewise, the law would also include those who are detained in delivery motorcycles without their legal residency documentation and if drugs are found on them.
Furthermore, the official announced that the bill aiming to refund 40% of the toll fees paid by transporters has been approved, among other measures.
