Washington Corozo: From Debut to Assist in Just Four Minutes

The midfielder entered the game in the 77th minute against New York Red Bull and only took four minutes to help his team. Corozo received a cross from his team's right-back, Moussa Kalilou, attempted a scissor kick towards the goal, but it turned out to be an assist for Ethan Finlay to score the team's third goal.
The presence of 'Wacho' was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss at home, but Austin FC remains in second place in the Western Conference of the MLS and has a steady path towards the playoffs. The Ecuadorian's team is 4 points behind the leader, Los Angeles FC, where Jhegson Méndez, Diego Palacios, and José Cifuentes play.
Corozo is working to earn a starting position and enter Gustavo Alfaro's consideration for Qatar 2022. The 24-year-old forward has already been called up by 'La Tri' during the qualifiers but lost his place due to a poor performance at Pumas. Now, he hopes to recover his form and make it to the World Cup.
