Gianluca Lapadula is close to finalizing his transfer to Cagliari in Italy, but amidst his sports future, he commented on the departure of Argentine Ricardo Gareca from the Peruvian National Team after seven years. He believes that the 'Tigre' did not have to leave the national team.
"I'm saddened by what happened to Gareca", Lapadula said about Ricardo Gareca, although he confirmed that he will continue to be available when the Peruvian National Team needs him. "But as long as the team needs me, I will be available," he added.
In an interview with El Comercio, the current Benevento forward revealed his best performance with the Peruvian national team, which he has represented since November 13, 2020.
"More than the goals, I remember the two assists I gave in Quito when we beat Ecuador 2-1 in the World Cup qualifiers," he said.
