Paolo Guerrero's return to the field is a fact, although it has not yet been confirmed which team he will play for. After completing the recovery process for his knee injury, the forward has been analyzing options to sign and Avaí is one of the candidates, as confirmed by Júlio Heerdt, the club's president.

Journalist Polidoro Júnior reported on Monday that the mentioned institution, which plays in the Brazilian first division, is in negotiations with the experienced Peruvian footballer. Due to his time at Corinthians, Flamengo, and Internacional de Porto Alegre, the goal scorer is in demand in the Brasileirao.

The same source revealed a conversation he had with the Avaí boss, who stated that "negotiations are underway," and shortly after gave more details: the 'Depredador' would have already arrived in the city of Floripa, the capital of Santa Catarina, for medical examinations. This will be a fundamental aspect to close the deal.

Remember that the last time Paolo Guerrero, currently 38 years old, was on a field was on October 7, 2021, when he played 60 minutes for the Peruvian national team against Chile in the Qatar 2022 qualifiers.
