Copa WIN 2022: A Spectacular Aquatic Sports Event
The Peruvian Sports Federation of Powerboating, the Peruvian Sports Institute, and WIN Internet will host one of the most dazzling and thrilling aquatic sports events: The WIN Cup 2022.
This sporting event will take place on Sunday, July 17, at Cantolao Beach in La Punta. It will bring together over 20 registered pilots participating in different categories and modalities.
"This championship is important for the country because we have pilots who are recognized worldwide. In this edition, Peruvian pilots come from all over Peru to compete for the country's representation in the most important events of this discipline," said Wilfredo Gutiérrez, president of the Peruvian Powerboating Federation.
One of the most remarkable participations will be that of Kiko Chia, a world champion, three-time winner of the South American championship, and current leader of P1 AquaX America. In addition, there are five other South American champion pilots from various cities in Peru such as Iquitos, Moyobamba, San Martín, Arequipa, Chincha, Callao, Lima, and Pucallpa.
"At WIN, we are committed to supporting our Peruvian athletes in various disciplines. Sometimes, sports like powerboating do not receive much exposure, and on this occasion, we want to highlight these Peruvian pilots who stand out for their skill and speed in global sporting events," stated Víctor Jauregui, vice president of WIN.
The winners of this championship will have the honor of representing Peru in the South American Jet Ski Championship in Argentina in September and the Havasu World Championship in October of this year.
