Radiolfo Ramírez, lawyer for Aposento Alto, stated that the church is registered as the owner of the property. Furthermore, he made it clear that what is in conflict with Alianza Lima is the esplanade, not the stadium.

Conflict over ownership of the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium continues

Everything indicates that Alianza Lima still cannot be at ease with the ownership of the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium, better known as Matute, as the lawyer for Aposento Alto, Radiolfo Ramírez, revealed that the church in question is the owner of the property and even claimed that they are registered in public records. Therefore, they hope that the resolution will soon be given for the victorianos to vacate that sector of the sports complex.

"The land is in dispute, the church is the owner of the property, it is registered in Public Records, and we are making it prevail so that Alianza fulfills the eviction of the property. There is a judicial process that is in the fourth civil chamber in order to resolve it almost definitively. It is a reclamation trial so that Alianza fulfills the eviction of the lots 29 and 31," said Ramírez in Radio Ovación.

Likewise, the doctor emphasized that, in order to avoid legal problems, they have contacted the leadership of Alianza Lima to reach good terms and avoid this whole judicial process, but explained that they have not yet received a response. Therefore, they are waiting to see what may happen on July 14th.

"We have invited Alianza Lima to a conciliation center to reach the best terms and avoid this whole judicial process. On Thursday, the 14th, the hearing will be held, but it is only related to the lots 29 and 31. From there, either party can file a cassation appeal and that will end up in the Supreme Court, which has a reasonable deadline of about a year and a half," added Ramírez.

Ramírez also revealed that, despite not having possession, the Municipality of La Victoria charges all property owners for the property tax of Matute, so he exclaimed that Alianza has been using this property without paying a single cent.

"However, Alianza has been using the property but has never paid a cent. The Municipality charges us all property owners the property tax even though we do not have possession of the property. We have been fighting for years," he asserted.

The conflict is over the Matute esplanade

Finally, Radiolfo Ramírez made it clear that the conflict with Alianza Lima is over the Matute esplanade, not the stadium. "What is in conflict is not Alianza Lima's stadium, that should be clear, the problem is with the esplanade because the government expropriated those lots in 1972 with the purpose of giving them a social purpose," he concluded.

Next match of Alianza Lima

Putting aside this conflict that Alianza Lima has been dragging, the team led by Carlos Bustos is already preparing for their next match against Sport Boys on Sunday, July 17th, for the second round of the Clausura Tournament.
