The rules under a single hoop
This Olympic sport is played on half a basketball court, with a single hoop. Teams consist of three players and one substitute who can enter at any time, as long as the game is stopped.
The match lasts ten minutes. The team with the most points at the end of that time or the first team to reach 21 points wins. Its practice is very dynamic and requires athletes to have great physical and mental skills.
3x3 basketball is the most popular urban sport in the world. It was born on the streets and has been considered an Olympic sport since 2017.
The 4th FISU America 3x3 is organized by Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, the University Sports Federation of Peru, and the International University Sports Federation of America.
