Peru fell to Australia and is eliminated from the dream of the Qatar 2022 World Cup
The national team drew during the 120 minutes, forcing a penalty shootout that did not go as expected for Ricardo Gareca's team. This sports situation generated several international media outlets to take a stance, and one of them was Martín Liberman, who expressed a strong opinion through his YouTube channel.

The Argentine journalist spoke for about 20 minutes on his YouTube channel, and one of his most controversial statements was calling Australia's goalkeeper Andrew Redwaine a "clown". This was what Martín Liberman stated:
"Unfortunately, the story is already judged, the story is already resolved and it ends up being the clown goalkeeper Redmayne, the figure of the match because he saves Valera's penalty without much experience, without much journey that he had on his left foot".
As it is known, Andrew Redmayne entered in the 119th minute prior to the end of extra time, Australia's coach Graham Arnold decided to change the goalkeeper and surprised Peru. The Sydney FC goalkeeper was making his debut in these Qatar 2022 qualifiers and was hailed as a "hero" by the press in his country.
On the other hand, Martín Liberman believed that Luis Advíncula's penalty should have been retaken: "If you watch it again, he, Advíncula, advances towards the goalkeeper when Advíncula reaches the ball and takes the shot, the goalkeeper does not have a foot on the line, the goalkeeper is already launched forward, taking advantage, and also touches Advíncula".
