The only team that took advantage in this round was Universidad Católica, who defeated Emelec, eliminated them from the fight, and remained one point away from the top.
Barcelona remains the leader, despite a tough defeat against Aucas this Sunday. Jorge Célico's team held onto the top position thanks to Independiente del Valle's defeat as the home team against Mushuc Runa.
Three teams are just one point below the leader: U Católica, IDV, and Liga de Quito, who only drew with Guayaquil City but remain hopeful.
Everything will be defined on the last matchday and Barcelona is the only one who depends on themselves. They will win the stage if they defeat Cumbayá. The rest will have to win and hope for a stumble from the Guayaquil team.
