Luis Aguiar, who was a national champion and became a reference for Alianza Lima in 2017, has ignited social media with a confession that happened after finishing his contract with the blanquiazules. The curious thing is that, the 'Canario', did it in the least expected way and this surprised the fans.

It turns out that on Instagram, a media outlet published statements from Leo Butrón and, immediately, the 'charrúa' made a comment specifically about his departure from the team, making it clear that he always had the intention to continue, but this did not only depend on his desire.

"I deserved to go to a World Cup" posted Franja Peruana after the goalkeeper's statements, so the 'charrúa' wrote: "Yes sir Leo Butrón, I think the same (outside of our friendship). I deserved to renew with Alianza Lima and they didn't even call me, football is football".

If the midfielder had a brief second stage in 2020, during his time in the year he became champion, he played 39 matches between Torneo de Verano, Apertura, and Clausura. In total, he scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists, being key to win the national title after many years.

Finally, it is important to note that now, at 34 years old, Luis Aguiar is playing for Maldonado in Uruguay. Although this season he has only played 89 minutes in three matches, it has not been an impediment to celebrate a goal. However, the experienced footballer has a contract until the end of the season and will then become a free agent. Should he return to the 'team of the people'?
