The main reason he said this is because he highlighted the fact that 'Wally' did not always play for Alianza Lima, referring to the time he spent at Sporting Cristal at some point in his career.
"I don't know if he has always played for Alianza Lima, I don't know. Those who have gone to other teams, I think, do not deserve recognition because they have gone to another team. It's that simple", he said.

I know that 3/4 of Peru are Alianza fans and you can see that in the streets because they greet you, even with a mask on", he concluded.
