Sporting Cristal has not been able to find a forward who resembles Emanuel Herrera's characteristics.

Marcos Riquelme and John Jairo Mosquera were the last goal-scoring options that the celestial team bet on, but they were not up to par, and the technical staff is already analyzing their future striker.

You can see: He conquered the Libertadores and won the championship with Sporting Cristal, and now he works for a big team in Brazil

Currently, the celestial board has three options to replace the center forward position. The first one is Adrián Fernández, a Paraguayan striker who plays for Alianza Atlético de Sullana and has scored four goals in the current Apertura Tournament.

He is one of the main options as he fits within the budget they manage. Fernández's best season was with Portuguesa in Venezuela, where he scored 14 goals in 29 matches.

The second option is Franco Troyansky from Argentina, who has just left Atlas (Mexico), where he arrived on loan from Unión Santa Fe. He has played for Olimpo de Bahía Blanca and San Lorenzo in his career. He was a champion with Atlas, Anderson Santamaría's team.

The last option is Matías Cóccaro from Uruguay. He had a spell in Italy's Serie A with Cagliari, but he did not have much success and returned to his country. His best numbers were with Montevideo City Torque, the owner of his transfer, where he scored 12 goals in 20 appearances (2020). Currently, he is playing for Huracán and has scored 14 goals between the 2021-2022 season.

According to the Liga 1 regulations, the next transfer market in Peruvian football will start on June 13 and end on July 10.
