Piero Quispe became one of the best players for University in Liga 1. In the last match between the cream team and Atlético Garu, the skillful midfielder was able to meet his friend Paulo de la Cruz. The former player trained at the merengue club and current footballer for the northern team revealed details of their relationship and gave him sincere advice to continue his professional career.

“I know Piero since we were kids. We played football together. I congratulated him when he made his debut, when he scored his first goal,”

the 22-year-old midfielder said in an interview with Willax Deportes.

He also mentioned Quispe's qualities and revealed that he has many fans in Piura. “He knows his capabilities. I recently talked to him because several fans in Piura want his jersey,” he added.

Finally, the Grau player gave sincere advice to his friend so that he doesn't give up on his career. “I had a conversation with him and I wish him all the best. I advise him not to pay attention to social media when things are going wrong because that influenced me a lot,” he concluded.

As you may recall, Paulo de la Cruz made a good impression when he debuted at University during the Noche Crema in 2018 and won the fans over with his plays against Independiente de Medellín. After that, he did not show that level again and in 2021 he joined Atlético Grau, the team with which he achieved promotion to Liga 1 2022.
