Crossed ball: Lavandeira stays in shape and scored the 1-0 for Alianza Lima against Carlos Stein [VIDEO]

Domingo 01 de Mayo del 2022

Pablo Lavandeira crossed the ball to score the 1-0 for Alianza Lima against Carlos Stein in the 12th round match of Liga 1 at Alejandro Villanueva stadium.

Pablo Lavandeira started the maneuver outside the area and finished it inside the rival area. The midfielder, who scored in the Copa Libertadores against Fortaleza midweek, appeared again, but this time to score the 1-0 for Alianza Lima vs. Carlos Stein, a match from round 12 of the Liga 1 at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium.

The midfielder advanced through the center of the 'Carlistas' field. Then, the former player of Universitario de Deportes located Ricardo Lagos on the side. Later, the fullback prepared to cross, but there was a double defensive rejection. However, the ball remained in Hernán Barcos' possession.

Then, 'Pirate' Barcos played a pass over the yellow wall to combine again with Lagos. Alianza Lima's defender received with his foot, but the control was long and the visiting team claimed that the ball went out of bounds. However, Ricardo continued to clear the ball over the center.

Goalkeeper Juan Goyoneche tried to easily contain the ball with one hand, but he left it all set for Lavandeira. The forward took advantage of the '1's mistake to score between the legs and put it 1-1 in La Victoria.

Alianza Lima vs. Carlos Stein: preview

The Blanquiazules have entered a positive streak in the local championship. The team led by coach Carlos Bustos has chained three victories (against UTC de Cajamarca, Universitario de Deportes, and Academia Cantolao), which have allowed them to climb in the standings. Although, with 14 points, the title seems very distant.

Regardless, Alianza Lima's focus is on the international level, where they no longer have margin for error. They lost to Fortaleza in Brazil midweek, and if they want to stay alive in the Copa Libertadores or secure a spot in the Copa Sudamericana, they must keep adding points until the end of the group stage.

On the other hand, Carlos Stein ended a streak of six winless matches (five defeats and one draw) last weekend. The team from the north, at home, defeated UTC 2-0 and achieved their first success since February 19.
