The coach of the United Arab Emirates national team wants to face the 'Blanquirroja' in the playoff for Qatar 2022. Although they must first defeat Australia, Rodolfo Arruabarrena confirms that he knows Ricardo Gareca, as he has faced him on other occasions.

"He has been in these qualifiers in difficult moments; he has made changes that other coaches might not have made. He has the support, and the players are convinced. Peru has always had good technical quality, and now he has given them that international experience," he added.
Finally, Arruabarrena stated that he wants to face the Peruvian national team in the playoff. "It's a team that I like how they play, and I hope to face them and try to beat them,".
