Peru will maintain the headquarters of the U-17 World Cup
After making the respective arrangements, President Pedro Castillo delivered the government guarantees to the President of the FPF, Agustín Lozano.
"Peru will host the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2023. Today, President Pedro Castillo delivered government guarantees to FPF President Agustín Lozano to organize this great event. Together we promote sports," said the Presidency of Peru.
As it is remembered, the Peruvian Football Federation made the respective arrangements to obtain government guarantees, but did not receive any response from the Government.
The deadline to submit government guarantees to FIFA is Friday, April 29. Peru will meet the established deadline and will organize the U-17 World Cup.
Agustín Lozano thanked President Pedro Castillo for his willingness and stated that the World Cup will leave an immense legacy for future generations.
"On behalf of the FPF, I thank President Pedro Castillo for joining the management of what will be a sporting event that will unite several countries and continents. Together we will move forward with this great event that will leave an immense legacy for future generations," said Lozano.
