The stadium that Sport Huancayo and ADT de Tarma use to play home games in the Liga 1 Betsson 2022 has become a real danger. According to the authorities of the 'Incontrastable City', the roof of the west stands is on the verge of collapsing due to heavy rains in the area and the passage of time.

During a live broadcast on Canal N, a reporter recorded exclusive images of the roof of the most important sports venue in Huancayo. The television camera captured how water leaks into the stands and weakens the structure that was built over 50 years ago.

"The geomembrane that was installed about 15 years ago has torn due to the passage of time, the strong sun, and the harsh wind that occur in the city of Huancayo. This damage is recurrent throughout the surface of the roof of the west stands", the journalist stated while the cameraman showed the shocking images.

Similarly, the Canal N reporter indicated that this area of the Sport Huancayo stadium has become "a sieve" and poses a risk to the fans who attend the team's matches in the Liga 1.

Request for help to fix the Huancayo Stadium

For his part, the president of the Regional Sports Council of Junín, Raúl Pacheco, stated that the relevant documentation was sent to previous IPD administrations to fix the roof of the Huancayo Stadium, but so far it has not received the maintenance that the venue requires.

"We host two teams from the Liga 1, Sport Huancayo and ADT de Tarma, so it should be attended to. They need to fix this to protect the infrastructure and have a stadium that benefits future generations," Pacheco said.
