They returned to victory!
Alianza Lima defeated Universidad de Chile 1-0 in the second round of the Women's Copa Libertadores. The author of the goal was Adriana Lúcar, who is making the blanquiazules dream of qualifying for the next round. In this way, the Alianza Lima joins the small group of teams that have won a match in the international tournament.
Since the foundation of the Women's Copa Libertadores in 2009, Peru has been represented by various teams such as Universitario, Alianza Lima, White Star, Real Maracaná, Sport Girl, UP de Iquitos, and Municipalidad de Majes. However, there were editions where Peruvian teams did not achieve victories.

As reporter Jesús Chirinos from Son Datos No Opiniones reports, only five teams have managed to win in the competition, of which only one has achieved victory twice. These are the times that a Peruvian team has added three points:
- 2009 - White Star (1-0) Caracas
- 2009 - White Star (4-2) EnForma
- 2014 - Real Maracaná (3-2) Mundo Futuro
- 2017 - Universitario (1-0) Colón
- 2018 - Sport Girls (3-2) Deportivo ITA
- 2021 - Alianza Lima (1-0) U de Chile
The Alianza Lima still has a pending match in the next round against Real Tomayapo, who has not had a good performance in the current edition of the tournament. The Bolivians come from being beaten 8-0 by Deportivo Cali and are almost eliminated from the competition. In this line, the blanquiazules could add their second victory and dream of reaching the quarterfinals.
