This week begins Phase 4 of the Copa Peru 2021, which will feature eight teams from different parts of the country. This stage of the tournament will be played in a round-robin format and in a single venue: all teams will play each other at the University San Marcos stadium.
The teams qualified for this part of the championship are: Deportivo Maristas de Huacho, Estrella Azul de Ventanilla, Alfonso Ugarte de Puno, Unión San Martín de Pisco, Credicoop San Cristóbal de Moquegua, ADT de Tarma, Unión Deportivo Parachique de Piura and Los Caimanes.
Tournament Format
Of the eight teams playing, the top five will qualify for Phase 5. The team with the most points will go directly to the final. The other four remaining teams will play a playoff among themselves: 2nd vs. 5th and 3rd vs. 4th from the previous stage. The winners will face each other in another match and the winner will secure a spot in the final. The champion will participate in the Liga 1 of 2022, while the runner-up will play in Liga 2.
