The Peruvian National Team could not come out victorious from the Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz and suffered another away defeat against Bolivia, in the nine matches they played, they never won, for matchday 5 (rescheduled date) of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.
The national team came out determined to propose their style of play in the altitude of La Paz and, even throughout the majority of the match, they scared Bolivia with their attacks. Bolivia was left with one less player after the expulsion of Henry Vaca in the second half and in the last ten minutes, they struck Ricardo Gareca's team with a goal from Ramiro Vaca.
Now, due to the negative result against Bolivia, the Peruvian National Team no longer has room for error and is obliged to win their next match if they plan to stay in the fight for a spot in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The next test for the Peruvian team will be against Lionel Messi's Argentina, which will play tonight against Uruguay, who is currently second in the standings with 19 points, just behind the leader, Brazil. The match will take place on Thursday, October 14, starting at 6:30 PM (Peruvian time) at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.
