In spite of being eliminated in the Liga 2 playoffs by Carlos Stein, Deportivo Llacuabamba thanked the support they received from all the fans.
Similarly, the northern team did not hesitate to regret not being able to achieve promotion this season. "We want to thank all the fans who supported us throughout this season of sweat and sacrifice, our directors, our community, our command and coaching staff, and our president. We greatly regret not being able to achieve the promotion goal for our Llacuabamba community," they stated on their Facebook account.
Furthermore, the La Libertad team highlighted that, beyond the elimination, the institution is proud of all the players for what they gave on the field, but they also emphasized that they had very controversial refereeing up to this day.
"We leave with the pride of having given absolutely everything on the field, it was a tough journey and even today, with controversial refereeing, we can say that our team's effort was evident. We withdraw from the championship with a fifth place, highlighting the effort of a young team," they expressed.
Finally, Deportivo Llacuabamba assured that they will return stronger for the next season to continue fighting for the long-awaited promotion to Liga 1. "We promise to come back much stronger next year. Because we are and will continue being a great family," they concluded.
