Peruvian coach returns to Aguila after 13 years

The 58-year-old Peruvian former football player and coach, Alberto 'Chochera' Castillo, will once again coach in the First Division of El Salvador. The national coach was announced as the new strategist of Aguila, a team he already coached in 2008.

"The Board of Directors of Club Deportiva Águila announces the hiring of the technical director of our institution, Professor Alberto Agustín Castillo," says the first part of the statement released through social networks.

The Central American team details that the Peruvian coach will "begin working in the coming days" with a contract signed for the remaining "Apertura 2020-2021 and Clausura 2021-2022" tournaments.

Alberto 'Chochera' Castillo's last coaching experience was in 2020 when he coached Deportivo Llacuabamba. Before that, the Peruvian worked in El Salvador teams such as Isidro Metapán, Sonsonate, FAS, Luis Ángel Firpo, Chalatenango, and Municipal Limeño, in Guatemalan team Deportivo Suchitepéquez, and in Peruvian teams Unión Comercio, Sport Boys, and Municipal. He also coached the El Salvador national team.
