Skier Daniel Andre Tande suffers a serious accident
I was going over 100 km/h on a terrifyingly curvy ramp. Professional skier Daniel Andre Tande suffered a serious accident during the training for the finals of the Ski Jumping World Cup.
The Norwegian skier was in grave danger when he jumped, lost his balance, and during the flight phase of the jump, had a brutal fall that not only destroyed his skis, but also made him roll several times down the ramp.
The quick intervention of the doctors was crucial for his recovery. They attended to him for half an hour, intubated him, and provided assisted breathing. Afterwards, he was transferred by helicopter to the University Clinical Center of Ljubljana where he is currently recovering and, according to the press, he is already out of danger.
