Melgar added a new player to their squad for the 2021 season. The Arequipa team reinforced their defense with Argentine footballer Fabio Pereyra, who played for Arsenal de Sarandí in the last two and a half years.

"From Argentina, we are pleased to announce our new reinforcement, Fabio Pereyra. After his time at Arsenal de Sarandí as a defender, Fabio joins the Dominó to roar during the current season", says the message shared by the rojinegro club.

The 30-year-old center-back started his football career with CAI Rivadavia and then played for Tiro Federal, Independiente Chivilcoy, and San Jorge de Tucumán, before joining Arsenal de Sarandí in August 2019.

With Fabio Pereyra, Melgar now has three Argentinian footballers in their 2021 squad, which already included midfielder Horacio Orzán and forward Bernardo Cuesta.
