Walter Ibáñez returned to Alianza Lima with the desire to win the championship and hopes to repay all the love that the blanquiazul fans have given him despite living an experience at the Universidad Católica.
"Happy to meet friends again and go to Matute, which is my home. I missed the club, the teammates, the customs. You already know the club, the people, and it becomes easier. Now I have to dedicate myself to work and repay the effort that the people will demand," said 'Colo' when leaving the Alejandro Villanueva stadium.
The center-back commented that he arrives to make Alianza Lima's defense solid and if there are goals, welcome, but he is not a scorer: "I never wanted to be labeled as a goalscorer, my goal is to defend and the goals are circumstances. Alianza Lima has been built very well, they have hired important pieces."
"I arrive with the desire to be champion, with the obligation more than anything," concluded Ibáñez, who is 31 years old and played 1 season at the Universidad Católica de Chile without much continuity.
